House of Worlds

Imagine driving at night to go visit a relative and when you think you are at the right place, you find out that you have really stumbled upon a place you can not escape. That is the House of Worlds. A comic in the making about two girls, Rachel and her cousin Taylor, who drive out to visit their grandmother in time for Thanksgiving, only to end up in a situation that they might not ever be able to get out of. 

The Picture to the left is a concept water color painting of House of Worlds. The rest below it are sketches and concepts of the rest of the comic. Previews will be posted on different days during the week. The comic itself will be made in Photoshop CC, and will soon be posted for all to read on here and Facebook.

Which do you feel?

Blurry photos with captions on them. Do you feel Blind or Inspired? Of course it has been a while since I have been on the popular social media site, Facebook, but somehow I still manage to see what is the latest week long craze is. Having gotten Photoshop CC recently, I felt the need to make a parody of the random blurry photos with captions on them. 

In case you have never seen these before, let me introduce you to just girly things. A site on tumblr that has pretty much what the title says, Girly Things. Of course this picture I made here, doesn't look very much like the ones depicted on this webpage, but it does prove a point. At least I feel it does.

The making of

While cleaning out some photos in my computer, I found a few photographs that contained the "Making of" a few digital art posters I made and have featured on this blogsite. Here are the ones I have found: 

The Forbidden Planet 
Basically the project was to create a retro movie poster ether by drawing it or creating it on the computer. Since I didn't have Photoshop on my computer, I used a program called Gimp and an application for macs called Pages. The background was created in Gimp, while the planet and the text, where created in Pages.

The Phantom of The Opera
Same concept, only this time, for a play and not a movie. The photo was taken with a canon XS Rebel, and the program used for this poster was again, Gimp and Pages. Unfortunately, I didn't find a screen shot of the program with it, just a before and after. I still honestly would like to remake this in the future at some point, but for now, lets enjoy the amateur skill involved in this photo.

 

Hades Box

This is a box that I had decided to create while in Art Class today. I can honestly say that this was just one of my more random creations that I plan on remaking at some point in the future. Hopefully more professional. I am pretty sure this was an old Cigar box at one point, in which now, it has become a random box that I will most likely put cards in or something like that. 

For now the box is just a random creation that I am posting here, just for the heck of it.

                                         DESCRIPTION:

The symbol on the top of the box is supposed to be from the video game Skyrim. Although I'm not sure I did it right. (Should have just done the Skyrim Logo). 

The words on the side of the box say Hades in Greek. (Greek god of the Underworld in Greek Mythology). 

As for the front, I basically took small tiles (Black and white) and glued them on in a checkered pattern. 

I left the inside stained, mostly for the older look that it gave everything else.

I am not sure yet what the next box may be, but I can say that it will be a more recognizable box.  

YouTube Channel

For some reason I haven't posted about this yet, so I figured now is the time. About three years ago in 2011, I made a YouTube channel, but I never really used it. It wasn't until in the spring of 2012 that I made my first video, which was a lyric video. The song was called Ka-Boom Ka-Boom, by Marilyn Manson. I made this video because my friend had a problem viewing it on his mobile phone. Since I had some time on my hands, I decided to make one.

Since then, I checked back and video now has 15,433 views, which to me, is pretty awesome. Since then I decided to make more videos since I did get requests to make more. So far I have made lyric videos to the following:

The Animal - Disturbed
Break - Three Days Grace
Narcissistic Cannibal - Korn 
Dope Hat - Marilyn Manson 

Lately I haven't had much time to create videos since I came down with Senioritus (Disease you get in high school when you become a senior and have to study for hours). In the meantime, I may create a few others depending on what people want. Which means if you have any requests for songs, please feel free to ask.

Besides Art

I decided to make a new quick post about a few things I discovered recently. One of the things I have discovered, is a new blog site that is about everything horror. (Movie genre). The name of this blog site , is Horror Smorgasbord. The blog site itself, has a very interesting look to it, very creative and allows the visiter to choose a different layout. Magazine, being my personal favorite, is more grid based layout. Aside from the looks of this blog site, the information not only includes news and reviews on the latest horror movies, it also includes video games. Which is another plus for all of the gamers out there. 

Aside from the blog site, I also discovered another horror related review type. Though some of the reviews are not always horror in particular, they do contain some interesting movies in case you enjoy a good scare on Halloween or just to get someone's reaction. The channel itself, is called Horrible Reviews.  (Link below). 

Aside from these two mini discoveries, I also wanted to say that I will be adding some media posts as well to this blog, since I feel that it might make it a bit more interesting and hopefully give out some inspirations.
